Dr. Md. A. Saleque (DVM, PGD-AH,MBA) is the Adviser for Agriculture and Livestock Programme in BRAC International. He has 30 years of experience in rural based agriculture (poultry, livestock & others), microfinance, and also different income generating/livelihood activities while working in BRAC and was directly associated in developing the “Bangladesh poultry Model”. Dr Saleque is the Secretary of INFPD and associated in promoting the small scale poultry rearing.

Dr. Saleque was the IFAD /FAO Project Coordinator for Small Holder Poultry Development Programme and he also worked as the Country Team Coordinator for the South Asia Pro Poor Livestock Policy Programme (SAPPLPP), Bangladesh for about 4 years. He was the Secretary for the World Poultry Science Association, Bangladesh branch and also held the position of the Treasurer for the Breeder Association in Bangladesh. He has membership of various professional and scientific societies at national and international level. He is highly regarded for his contribution in this field and has provided numerous consultancies in Bangladesh and abroad. He is currently serving as the board member of PRTC, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) in Bangladesh for the last six years.
